Hello Everyone!

Even the most accomplished authors can tell you they've had a slump, lull, or brain stump when it comes to their writing. Writers Block is no joke, but don't worry! I've got some of my tried and true methods to boost your creativity and get you back on track!

  1. Start with the ending, then write they story that leads to it. Endings are usually the hardest part to write in my experience, and a good book that becomes unforgettable has a stellar and memorable ending. Put your creativity rush into that amazing ending! It will constantly change as your story develops, but that's a way to stave off that Writers Block and give you a new challenge all at once.

  2. Write in an unfamiliar genre. What better way to stir up that creative gene of yours than to

write in a genre you've never tempted before?Normally write romance? Give a try at a Mystery. Normally write sci fi thrillers? See how you do writing a western drama. No better way to get that noodle up and running that giving it some fresh ideas.

3. Imagine you're writing to your best friend. Keeping strangers on your mind as you write compared to someone you know will be honest about your reviews can really change the quality of what you write. Will this be a change to your writing style as a whole? Give it a try!

Well that's it, three ways I use frequently to help when i'm in a bit of writers block. Let us know what you try and if it works for you!

Happy Writing
